The Power of Play Webinar
Tuesday, 3/25 from 7-8pm
Kevin Stinehart, Teacher and Play advocate
Kevin Stinehart, a fourth grade teacher, isn't the first person who has called Let Grow Play Clubs a silver bullet for stress, anxiety, isolation, and motivation. Yet the idea of letting children on the playground without rules (ok, two rules), monitoring, and constant intervention gets a million what-if scenarios and questions. In his fifth year of running Play Clubs, he's got stories, statistics, advice, and answers to ease your mind and get your school started.
Please see his work on unstructured play at the link below or in chapter 11 of @jonathanhaidt’s new book “The Anxious Generation.”
Zoom, pre-registration required.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Scituate Parent Updates
This is a list of known relevant school and community discussions. We want to help parents share and coordinate concerns for school day related concerns with their local school councils, PTOs and school committee. Please contact us if you would like to be put in contact with a parent partner from your school for additional information. We have monthly meetings at the library to touch base at a district wide level, please join us! We also want to grow a parent led community to enhance activities children can engage in outside of the school. It takes a village! We want to grow that supportive mentality and provide outlets for both parents and children to connect in the real world.
