We are a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax deductible. All donations will be used to support the general charitable and educational purposes of the organization.
Why Support our non-profit? We have PTOs and Education Foundation?
To start, all of these organizations are an asset to any town! Our non profit has a more targeted purpose, focusing on digital education and wellness efforts, and although we may generally engage with school community we are not considered an extension of school community like a PTO that has school representation built into the board.
Our goal is to have a district wide view and have events open at a district level. PTOs operate at a specific neighborhood school level. We want our events open to parents of similar ages or circumstances regardless of where their child attends.
A strong education foundation is an asset to any town. The Scituate Education Foundation awards many impactful grants to support innovation in both the school and community at large but they do not take an organizational viewpoint.
We hope to engage and work with both of these types of organizations as we focus efforts on digital literacy and wellness awareness. Community dialogue and feedback is how we grow our effort to support creating opportunities that children can grow their independence and emotional resiliency skills in the real world.
